Apples and Cinnamon Oatmeal (pressure cooker)

These pressure cooked Apples and Cinnamon Oats a perfectly quick and satisfying on a cold morning. Ready in 10 minutes, start to finish and much healthier than the pre-packaged store version. I made mine less sweet, since I am not a big sugar fan, but you can add more maple syrup to taste. Make sure to check out the video on our facebook page

Apples & Cinnamon Oatmeal 

serves 2-3

  • 1 C rolled oats
  • 2 1/4 C water
  • 3-6 TB maple syrup (depending on taste)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp cardamom
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 C apple, chopped

Place all ingredients in your pressure cooker. Stir, close lid, and cook on high/manual for 3 minutes. When timer goes off, do a quick release. Give a quick stir. Add more salt and maple syrup to taste.

Serve with chopped walnut and a drizzle of maple syrup.
